Todd Carpenter, the Social Media Manager for NAR, wrote a brief post on one of the NAR blogs all about the recent flurry of Facebook Fan Page invites. I left a comment there, but wanted to address the issue here, too.

I made this brief video to share my thoughts about Facebook Fan Pages for REALTORS:

I agree with a lot of what you say except for this: I sell RE in Naples Florida…and I actually do get benefits from connecting with RE agents from around the country, primarily my feeder markets. A good percentage of my business comes from referrals from agents just like you. Just learning social networking, but think you might want to reconsider being one of my fans!

Great 2 minutes. it reminded me of truth in lending…how about truth of blogging
organic is organic and even if the other guys get to California before I do. I will head out west the wild west of blogging my own way. Hunt and peck through the universe and hitching my goal to the stars of Inman. I see some light.Thanks.

Love the quick video, and I completely agree. It's cliche, but it's the fact – quality over quantity is the most effective way.
