I would skip the intro if I were you and go straight to 101. After that I would take 104 as soon as possible because it is simply a harder version of 101 so do it while you still have the info fresh in your mind. I just finished 103 and now am preparing to take 102.

I was told they are rolling out a great 2 day course on negotiating as well. It is an elective I believe and about 1,100 or 1,200 dollars but the way I heard it was worth every penny.

Good luck.

Gladstone,

It depends really on how much money you want to spend, and how sure you area that you want a CCIM designation. If you aren't SURE that you want to do it, go for Intro first. You learn a lot in intro that makes CI-101 a bit easier. All of the Intro stuff is covered in CI-101, so if you KNOW that you are going to go for the designation, go straight to CI-101 and save yourself some time and money. The CCIM designation isn't cheap or quick, so the more you can save on those to fronts, the better.

Good luck!

Hi, Daniel or anyone else with the CCIM designation or parts of it.

Would you recommend bypassing the Intro Course and go directly to CI-101? I have a real estate broker's license?

Thanks for any reply.

[...] The idea that more money sooner is better forms the basis for all real estate investing. Heck, it forms the basis for all investing really, but it is especially important in real estate investing. In fact, it is the FIRST thing that you learn in the CCIM courses. This idea isn’t new. In fact, it is very old. I am sure you have heard the expression, “a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.” That old axiom is a simple way of stating the same thing. The reason that the concept of “more is better sooner” is true is simple– the future is uncertain. [...]

[...] I received an email from CCIM informing me that I passed my CI 101 test. I obtained a 92% on the final test. Not bad, I’ll take it. Now I need to plan and prepare for CI 102, and continue my journey to the dark side. Bookmark to: [...]

Daniel, Good to hear your experience. I've taken a couple classes taught by CCIMs and they were the smartest agents I had ever met. In October the Intro Course will be here in Kansas City and I'm taking that. It will be one of the electives, so I might as well get started.

Congrats on making it through the first wave. I'm sure the experience will benefit your clients.
